Option to disable public folders in Exchange plug-in

From Evolution

[edit]

Inaccessible Public Folder servers cause Exchange plugin to cease functioning

I work for a very large corporation which has a massive exchange framework that is linked together throughout all of the sub-businesses that are a part of it. Some here even say it is the largest in the world, though I'm unsure how factual that is.

As such, I (as IT staff for a single section of a single business unit) do not have the privileges to modify the framework of our Exchange system to integrate Evolution into the enterprise. The issue at hand is that the corporate staff have allowed Public Folder access to certain sections of the business, while others are blocked from the public folder server.

The Exchange plugin tries to access it, and fails. This causes Evolution to cease functioning altogether for that account, when it would otherwise perform beautifully.

Is it possible to include an option to disable public folder access? While researching the issue on the net, I have come across other users with similar issues, hoping for a similar solution.

Your work is greatly appreciated. Without Evolution, Linux integration into an MSE environment becomes very trying.
