Properties of Tasks list

Mark a tasks list as default task list for creating tasks

1.Select on of the Tasks lists 2.Right click and select Properties option 3.Check 'Mark as default folder' check box and click 'OK'

The default tasks list should appear in the Group field by default while creating New Task or New Assigned Task

Rename a tasks list

1.Select one of the Tasks lists 2.Right click and select Properties option 3.Change the name field as you like and click 'OK'

The name of the task list should be changed to the new name

Change the color associated with the Tasks list

1.Select one of the Tasks lists 2.Right click and select Properties option 3.Click on 'Color' button and select the desired color from the 'Pick a color' dialog and click 'OK'

The Color associated with the Task list should change to the new color and all the new task created under this list should appear in that color in the Task view pane



Copy the contents of one task list to the other(You shouldn't be able to copy to web server)

1.Select one of the Tasks lists 2.Right click and select Copy option 3.Select a task list from the 'Select destination' dialog and click 'OK'

All the tasks that are present in the currently selected task list should be copied to the destination task list



Save the contents of task list

Save the tasks in a tasks list to the disk

1.Select one of the Tasks lists 2.Right click and select 'Save to Disk' option 3.Enter the name for file, select one of the formats (.ics/.csv/.rdf) and save it in a folder you like

You should be able to import the saved files without any loss of information



Delete a Tasks list(This is specific to local tasks and tasks on Exchange server. You shouldn't be able to delete a tasks list which is on the GW server)

1.Select one of the Tasks lists 2.Right click and select 'Delete'

The selected tasks list should be deleted. For default system Tasks list the 'Delete' option should be disabled



Show only one task list

1.Select one of the Tasks lists 2.Right click and select 'show only this Task List' option (or) Make sure that only one Tasks list is checked

You should be able to see the contents of only the contents of selected tasks list

1.Select a task from the list of tasks listed in tasks view 2.Right click and select 'Open' option 3.Select the Tasks list to which you want to move this task from the Group combo box and click 'OK'

The selected task should be moved to the list which you have selected for the Group field and the color of that task should be changed to the color associated with the destination task list



Change the other fields of a Task(This is not applicable to tasks which are on the web)

Change the Summary, Description etc.. of a task

1.Select a task from the list of tasks listed in tasks view 2.Right click and select 'Open' option 3.Change the various fields of the task and click 'OK'

You should be able to see the changes made to the task if you again open that task

You should be able to access the web page provided with the task. This option should be disabled if the task does not contain any url for the web page



Save a task
